When I first came I was surprised to learn that it first opened in 1894. It is clear that they went through big renovations because everything looks brand new. The wifi is great, the beds are warm, rooms, and the showers are brand new. The prices are reasonable too. The beach has a swimming area (not deep at all), they also have kayaks and rowboats. Near the main building there is also a tennis court. In the center of the lake there is an protected area for eagles. Fun time looking at eagle nests.
I have been coming to the Inn for years and am excited about recent changes. The recently renovated guest rooms are beautiful. The kitchens in the cabins have also been renovated, and are beautiful. The new innkeepers are delightful. It has always been a place to enjoy a spectacular setting in nature among friendly people, it is now even lovelier.
We didn't stay at the Inn but went for dinner. It was the first night serving dinner before their regular chef was there. It was like great home made cooking! We'll definitely be going back. The Inn looks like a beautiful place to stay as well. Someone told me all the rooms were fine. The view if Piseco lake is amazing!!
Beautiful, historic inn, cabins, and campgrounds. A bit basic - when things break they usually aren't replaced (like there used to be a ping pong table and a dock but they're gone). Still a stunningly beautiful, quiet spot.
Another review says that they didn't have soap, but now it is obvious they fixed that.
We have been coming here for a few years now and each time things have improved more and more. We like it the way it is. No TV or phones in rooms, which is perfect. Internet access works good and the main building had been updated. You should stay away because it's nice and peaceful the way things are. But if you do come here you will like for what it is...a great place to relax!
